Akiro Protech establishes itself as a one stop shop for all things related to armor and life protection. In the past, armor producers would have to go to different vendors for woven fabrics, UD products, outer Nylon carriers etc.
Akiro Protech launches a unique line of products - woven fabrics using UHMWPE (ultra high molecular weight polyethylene) yarn - that can be used effectively to stop bullets in varied armor applications.
Fibers and fabrics have been historically used for applications involving high speed impact, such as mountain climbing, parachutes, arrest cables for aircraft carriers and bullet resistant jackets. During the Vietnam war, jackets were made using Nylon and glass fabrics replacing metallic armor.
